I Like These Elvis Songs

I’ve been an Elvis fan since I was a teenager. Over the years, I have bought many albums (33 1/3 r.p.m.) and, later in life, CD’s.

Lately, I decided to make a list of my favorite Elvis songs. I originally wanted to put the list in order of most-liked to next-to-most-liked. That plan did not work because I could not decide absolutely that I liked a particular song better than another song. I like some songs because the words are great. I like other songs because the music is great. I like some songs because the rhythm is great. I’ve decided that there is no way for me to rank all of the songs I like in an exact order.

That being said, I can say that a few of Elvis’ songs are my top-liked songs. Something about them just resonates so strongly with me that I like them “the best”. I cannot explain my feelings; I just know what I like.

So, the bottom line to this talk is that I have made a list and put it in the order of my favorites followed by all of the others (in only a vague order of style or type in my mind).

Over time, I may change the order of the songs (or add a song or two). But right now, here is my list of the Elvis songs that I like best.
